Members of this congregation and others have received emails stating they were from clergy asking to connect with the congregation member. After congregation member makes contact they are asked to provide money/gift cards for use with charities.

No staff of Hope United Church would contact you from a generic email address such as this. All staff at Hope United have email addresses on the hopeunitedchurch.ca domain for example someone@hopeunitedchurch.ca
